Silicon
Microtiter Filter Plates
These
plates are identical in format to the Silicon Microarray
silicon microtiter plates mentioned elsewhere on this site. The
only difference is that a fine grid is micromachined directly
into the chip. The pore sizes can be controlled over a very wide
range from submicron to 100 microns. Slots or grids are available.
These plates are ideal for applications requiring removal of spent
reagents. They are also appropriate for manipulation of various
beads (see links to various beads on our LINKS
page). Since the surface of the grid is pure silica, the grid
can be derivatized with various chemicals just like glass. These
filter plates are reusable and can be boiled, heated and autoclaved
and are very inert to most common chemicals. We would be very
happy to design a custom plate for your applications.
